Making Apple Butter

Maple Syrup: From Tree to Table

***Because we want to devote all of our attention to every individual who comes to our farm,

we don’t schedule seminars on festival weekends.

***We are very flexible and can accommodate mid-week and weekends.

In this class, you will learn how to select the best apples for making apple butter, how to prepare those apples, traditional cooking techniques, and what equipment is best to use. This is a very interactive eight-hour class (due to the cooking time required). Lunch is provided, and you will go home with fresh apple butter!

Smoking Fish & Cheese... The Nineteenth Century Way

We are proud of our products and are committed to using the most time-honored, historically accurate methods to produce our products – maple syrup, apple butter, and smoked trout and cheeses. One of the things we enjoy most about our farm is teaching and passing on these old skills. History, fun, learning, and great food… What more could you ask for?

We offer seminars to small groups or individuals on the following topics:

Our maple syrup seminar will let you in on the secrets of tree selection, tapping, sugar water collection, cooking, and finishing. All techniques are intended for the small first timer or the family that wants to learn more about the why’s and why not’s of maple syrup productions. This is a six-hour seminar that includes a tour of our sugar bush. Lunch is provided.
